Sharmin Pennington & Rusty Rierson
About 12 years ago, my Cousin Sharmin Lost a baby boy to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). She sent me a poem she had written about it and I saw it was very heart felt. I wrote a 2nd verse to it and and chorus, put it to music, and recorded it. Enjoy "Those Little Hands".
Those Little Hands
1st Verse
I remember the day you came into our lives with those little hands like mine.
It was a day of fun and laughter, staring at those little hands.
As the weeks went by and turned into months we loved those little hands like mine.
How was I to know one day I’d never hold those hands again?

(Chorus)
But How I would love to hold those little hands; See those little hands.
And Feel them wrap around my fingers tight, as you tried to learn to stand.
Oh, How I long to kiss those little hands, If just for one last time.
If I could only touch those little hands like mine.

2nd Verse
Now I lie awake remembering you before God called you home.,
And I wonder who’s watching over you so you won’t walk alone.
I know I’ll see you again but until then, To the Angels you’re assigned.
But I’ll remember your eyes, your little smile, and your little hands like mine.
(Chorus)

(Tag)
If I could only touch your little hands like mine.
If I could only touch your little hands like mine.
